Tax Foundation Course

Enrolment for our Tax Foundation Course is under way

PwC’s Academy has started enrolment for our six-month Tax Foundation Course, which begins on 12 October and is due for completion on 21 March 2012. This programme is designed for accountants, lawyers, economists and internal auditors, as well as anyone interested in becoming familiar with the Latvian tax system and particular taxes.

As part of the foundation course our tax specialists will introduce you to the Latvian tax system as a whole, and to the basic principles and practical application of particular taxes (such as personal income tax, national social insurance contributions, corporate income tax, value added tax, natural resources tax, real estate tax, customs and excise). The classes will include lectures, workshops and independent assignments involving tax rules and case studies.

Completion of each tax module will be followed by a test to measure your knowledge. At the end of the programme we will test your theoretical knowledge in practice.

You may opt to complete the full course or individual modules, i.e. attend only the classes dealing with the tax you are interested in. You will receive a PwC’s Academy certificate after completing individual modules and the whole course.
